DANIEL WILLIAM POUND

1953-2024 

Dan Pound died on April 24, 2024.  He had been seriously ill the past few months.  He died at home in Albuquerque. 

Dan grew up in Santa Fe.  He graduated from St. Michael’s High School and went on to the University of New Mexico, where he played football.  Most of his working career was spent in Northern California.

Dan was the son of Bill and Louise Pound.  He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kelly Pound, of Durango Colorado, his brother John and wife Mary Ann, of Santa Fe, his sister Terry Zook and husband Steve, of Durango and several nieces and nephews.

He had a big heart to go along with his big sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed. 

The family will be making arrangements for a mass and a memorial service. 

For those who wish, a gesture he would have appreciated would be a contribution to the Carmelite Sisters in Santa Fe.
