“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
Born on June 1, 1968 in the Bronx, NY, Daniel Pistillo was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
We are devastated and heartbroken by his tragic passing. Danny was loved more than he realized. Please keep Danny as well as his children, Marissa and Andrew, and his entire family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Mom
2 years have gone by and it feels like yesterday that you left us. I’m still so heartbroken and sad whenever I think of how alone you must have felt. You were my first love and will forever be the love of my life. As your mom I cry when I think of your pain and how I couldn’t save you. Until we meet in heaven I will continue to love and cherish all the memories I have of our life together. Love you always, your mommy

One year ago today my heart was shattered. Living this year without you is still so hard to accept. Somedays I go to text you and then remember I can’t do that, somedays I can hear you say mom I love you, and then I realize it’s in my head. Somedays the ache of heartache brings me to a reality that is stabbing. As I talk to your picture and pray that you are at peace I cry, as your mom I never thought I would lose you, my beautiful son. I pray that someday you and I will meet again, I miss you everyday. I love you your mommy.

Danny, my beloved older brother, your absence is a wound that time struggles to heal. Each day feels like an endless repetition of the same pain, made heavier by the knowledge of your suffering. It breaks my heart to know the choice you felt you had to make, to know you're no longer here, and to confront the reality that I remain while you are gone. I understand the unbearable depths of despair that pull us away from the light, and it devastates me that they claimed you. There are so many days when tears come easily, when the weight of your memory feels insurmountable. But I hold onto the hope of better days—days when I can smile at the memories of the good times we shared. Like that time you took me to get a tattoo at 16, pretending to be Dad—thank God the place was booked! I would have hated that tattoo now. It's these moments, these echoes of your love and humor, that remind me of who you were. I love you Danny. Don’t be a stranger- keep coming through the shamanic readings. -Malissa

How did you meet Daniel?
Happy birthday in heaven my Danny. This never gets easier, my memories of our life together from the day I brought you into this world are heartfelt. I will never forget the joy and love I had and still have for you. Celebrating you my beautiful son will always be something I will never stop doing. I love you and as your mom I always will. May God hold you in his arms for me until we met again. Love your mommy

Happy Birthday in heaven my Danny. 57 years ago you were my 16th birthday present, one I will reminisce and never forget until the day I join you. Each year as we shared our birthday together we were one, one cake, one song and one big hug it was beautiful. I missed that this year! My heart is forever broken and will forever hurt, I love you, your mommy

I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Daniel from his days at Toyota, as I was one of his loyal customers. I brought my cars in for him to take care of for over 15 years, and Daniel always made sure to greet me with a warm smile and a hug, and that I was well taken care of. We would trade questions back and forth sometimes through the years- me about a funny noise my car had made, and he would tell me about the thousandth item his wacky dog had eaten( as I am a vet). I hope his pups are ok. He was a very special person and he will be missed.
