October 27th, 1994 - May 15th, 2020

"It is not length of life, but depth of life." - Ralph Waldo Emerson Danny was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on October 27 th, 1994 to his parents, Paul J. Pearce and Starr H. Pearce. As a small boy, growing up in Alabama, Danny enjoyed playing soccer, swimming, riding his bike EVERYWHERE, and spending time with his cousins Morgan, Noelle, Jennifer, and Shayne (all from whom he rarely separated). When he was six years old, Danny made the big move to Kingwood, Texas with his parents and new baby brother Charlie. Always on the go, Danny wasted no time after arriving in Kingwood. He quickly made his close group of friends (many of whom are still by his side today) and became involved heavily in sports and activities. With his second baby brother Billy arriving mere months after the move to Kingwood, Danny quickly had his hands full as the oldest son in the family. On any given day as a young man, he had his parents running to Boy Scouts events, football games, swim meets, and baseball practice. Yet somehow, Danny still found the time to spend with his brothers, even building a bicycle for his brother Billy when the boys were both avid BMX riders. However, it was during his time at Kingwood Park High School that Danny would get his first taste of what would later become his passion. Enrolling in the Auto Collision course during high school unearthed a talent and drive in Danny that followed him for the rest of his life. With the close instruction and support of his most beloved teacher, Jeff Wilson, Danny came out of high school with his heart set on mechanical work. After graduating from Kingwood Park High in 2013, Danny decided to head back to his home state of Alabama to attend Shelton State Community College. There, he began his education in welding while also slinging bacon and eggs as a cook at Waffle House, a job he enjoyed and often remembered fondly. He eventually returned to Texas to begin working his trade and to continue his schooling at Lee College in Baytown, TX. No matter what kind of work Danny found himself doing while he was in school, there was always the guarantee that it was outdoors and required the skilled use of his hands. Danny's ultimate dream was to be a pipeline welder that traveled the remote parts of the country for his work, and each step he took was to that end. He was greatly impacted by the guidance of Gary Clark, a longtime family friend and cherished mentor, as well as his former boss, Frank Schomer. The time spent with Gary and Frank prepared Danny for the success he ultimately found in his position with Brad King at Dealermade in Kingwood, TX. Not only was Danny doing what he loved as a welder and designer, he had finally been promoted into his first supervisory role as the shop foreman. It was in this role that he worked harder than ever before. Even then, despite all his work, success, and the pressures that come with adulthood, Danny made time for his hobbies and his family. He had become a big brother once again - this time to a little sister, Annie, whom he adored and lavished with affection. When he wasn't working or helping with his younger siblings, Danny loved to be with his friends outdoors. You could often find him grabbing a game of golf with his closest buddies, or on his way up to Coldspring, TX for some camping, hunting, and quiet solitude among the trees. As short as Danny's life may have been, none of us could refute the fact that he lived it on his own terms. He worked hard, loved his family, and stayed connected to the things that gave him the most joy. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Pelham Glenn Pearce, and his grandmother, Melva Thompson Pearce. He is survived by his mother Starr Hudson Pearce, his father Paul Jason Pearce, his siblings Charles Thompson Pearce, William Preston Pearce, and Anna Lee Pearce, his grandparents David Lee Hudson and Starr Rives Hudson, as well as his step-mother, Katie Lavois Pira.
