Dear Coach, I miss you so much, you helped me through a really shitty time and I’ll never be able to thank you enough. I think about you all the time and I hope everything is going good up there. It’s about to be three years.

Daniel, I've thought so many times I wish I could have said goodbye. I remember when we all went to Disney! It was so much fun... I wish you were here, so I could say something to you in person. Miss ya cuz.

Daniel Joyner had great faith in his Savior Jesus Christ. I know he is with Him know. He dedicated two years of his life to teach people about Christ and bring Light to their lives in Uruguay. He will be missed. Until we meet again. Para siempre Dios esté con Vos, Hasta vernos con el Rey.

I was thinking about my high school basketball tryouts when I was a freshman and Daniel made the team and I didn’t. I was bummed. Daniel and I knew of eachother in Highschool but never really knew each other. We had many friends in common but never really talked. He was always a kind spirit and person. Involved in a lot. Crazy that he has passed away. No idea what happened. I just randomly googled his name and I found a few obituaries. Felt called to comment. I hope his wife, son and parents know he made an impact on me. Even though I never really knew him. I think we kept our distance because we were so much alike in some ways. Pray for us down here Daniel. Thanks for being a good example to me from afar in highschool. Rest in Peace brother.

Daniel, I know it's late. But I unfortunately heard of your passing recently. You are and forever will be awesome. You were always smiling and helping others. Always ready to have fun. I remember hanging out with you and sara often at yalls place eating some good food she would make. Yalls friendship meant a lot to me back then. It helped me get through some crappy situations in my life when yall didn't even know it. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts. I send my love to you and to your family. Rest peacefully, Daniel.

I wanted to share the story of the cow that was placed with Daniel in his coffin. A stipulation of marrying Sarah was that he needed to provide 12 cows to her Dad. Sarah had said they were having fun collecting them. They both came to Hawaii for Christmas 2012. Two days into the vacation they come into the dining room with the cows—two stuffies, two Chick Fila cows, two plastic cows, two children’s toy cows, a steak, 2 cheeses, and a book. Later in the week we secretly collected items from Sarah and Daniel’s courtship so he could use them to propose to Sarah at Waimea Canyon.
