Daniel Bond

I don't know quite where to start. This is very heavy for me and I learned of Daniel's passing today...maybe an hour or so ago. I had been trying to contact Daniel Bond and was trying to guess Daniel's email address and ended up emailing a different Daniel Bond. He sent me the links to the online memorials for this Daniel Bond. This Daniel Bond who passed on on May 4th, 2018 is very special to me. He "got" me and not a lot of people "get" me. We met less than a month before he finished active duty in the Marine Corps and moved to Chicago to go to school. We were in touch off and on over the years. He contacted me in September or so of 2017. I live in Los Angeles and said he was visiting family in Southern California coming up and asked if I'd like to get together. I would have liked to have gotten together with him when he was out here, but I didn't. I wish we had so I could have seen him, hugged him, been with him one last time. I started recently trying to reach him and wrote his dad. I'm sorry if my letter upset you. Daniel was, is, and always will be very special to me. I loved him, still do, and always will love him. I wish I had known sooner so I could have attended the memorial gathering in person celebrating Daniel. Does anybody know if he is buried? If so, is it in California? If so, where? I'd really like to go to his grave. I'd also like to make a donation. I saw suggestions of types of charities, but does anyone know of actual names of charities to donate to? I know I don't know any of Daniel's friends or family, but Daniel is, was, and always will be very special to me and I loved him, still do, and always will love him very much and would really like to connect with friends and family.
