I met Cres on a trip to the Met Opera to see Carmen. First, I was struck by her beauty. Then, as a teacher myself, I was impressed that she brought along materials she used to teach it! Class act (get it?)

Do you know who it was a big honor to know Cresence and the family. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the memorial celebration this Saturday. I pray God‘s comfort for the family and I’m very thankful for the privilege of knowing Cresence.

Cres was my neighbor and friend for many years in Morse Lakes and our book club. So many happy memories way back to when we took art classes together in Wayne library in the late ‘70’s. How shocked were we to show up to see a nude on the podium. I will share a drawing of her i did at that time. Just a novice. All the parties we attended at her and Carl’s house were so much fun. My last memory was shortly after Carl passed. She found out I was painting and we decided we would take classes together again. Unfortunately, she had a relapse of her cancer. I will miss her. May she rest in peace in the arms of the Lord!

I am forever grateful for the long and enduring gift of our friendship. Little did I think when we spotted each other on our back decks as next door neighbors in Morse Lakes that our bond would last till the end. May you rest in peace my dear friend. Love and miss you, Alice

I met Cres as my French teacher when I was an 18 year old exchange student from the Netherlands. From the first moment we met I received so much warmth from her. She took care of me as if I were her daughter. After a while I was “part of” her family, enjoying living with her, Carl , Mike and Chris. These fantastic memories from the months we shared together are very dear to me and I’ll keep them forever.

I loved Cress. She was bigger than life and I’m so glad to have known her.
