Craig Dell Addis
March 10th, 1951 - July 21st, 2020
March 10th, 1951 - July 21st, 2020
When Craig Dell Addis entered the world on March 10, 1951, not only did they break the mold, they locked away the pieces of the mold because the world could only ever have one Craig. He was born in El Paso, Texas, to his hard-working father, B.J. Addis, and his creatively brilliant mother, Sara Addis.
He was a ladies man, adventure seeker, yard sale junkie, ham radio operator, music lover, comedian/educator, electronics/computer wizard, MENSA member, church volunteer, and self-proclaimed authority on all things relating to speed and his favorite the classic Nova SS. He was also a Marine, a DJ, race-car driver, master woodworker, company owner, tinkerer, father, husband, friend, and mentor and died just like he lived, on his own terms.
Craig wrote his own rules and fought authority while he paved his way through life. He had grand ideas that were only tapered by his outlaw spirit and, eventually, his health. His regrets were few but included not having more energy late in life to give back to his family, friends, and others.
Final diagnostics indicated multiple cascading hardware failures as his root problem, and although Craig’s software is decommissioned, his lives on through in his organ donations. As an organ donor, someone will benefit from his beautiful green eyes, his soul has migrated to the Great Cloud in Heaven, and his spirit will live on in an infinite loop.
Craig is survived by his two daughters Jenny (her husband Chris, and their daughters Bethany and Hannah), Natalie (and her fiancé Kai), his son Robbe (his fiancé Donna and his son Nathan), his two brothers Alan and Neil, and his sister Kathleen.
Undoubtedly, he gave a heartwarming smile as he told his last joke on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the age of 69. Thanks for the years, wisdom, guidance, laughs, tears, and hugs.
Dad, we will love you always!

So sad to discover the loss of my friend this way. I remember our long chats in Tohatchi, NM as we tried to solve the world's problems after work hours. You were an encouragement to me in a hard time. I enjoyed visiting you in Ruidoso too. Thank you.
