Corey was a son, brother, friend, cousin, veteran, game warden, mentor, coach and so much more. He touched so many lives during his life. He had a personality that would light up a room.

He was always full of stories and laughs and maybe even a few temper tantrums. Always the first to lend a helping hand and get dirtier than you doing the same job. Always willing to speak his mind and do what he thought was right.

His only shoes were flip flops, he loved yellow mustard on everything, he was an avid reader, you could commonly find him on the golf course, he loved his pets with all his heart, he loved the outdoors and being a part of nature.

Please use this page to share your memories, stories and moments that you shared with Corey. It will mean so much to the people who loved him and knew him to relive these special moments.

He will always be loved, he will always be missed, and he will always be remembered.

We know that there are people from all over the US who want to join our family in Corey's celebration of life. Our family plans to spread Corey's ashes in Anchorage, Alaska on August 13th 2022 at 12:00 PM.

We recognize that this may be a long journey, but Anchorage is the place Corey loved and called home. Anyone who would like to join us is more than welcome. Please RSVP to the right if you plan on joining.

If you can't join us in person, please raise a glass, tell a story or commemorate Corey with us at that time. We would be forever grateful if you would share videos or photos of you joining us from afar.

If you would like to donate in Corey's name, please consider one of the links below.

Dear Corey- Thinking of you and your sweet family today and always. I can’t believe one year has passed. Your family has done an amazing job continuing your legacy while walking this difficult road. Your void is great, but you also gave them enough love and funny stories to last a lifetime. You would be proud of their strength during this difficult time! Your friends and military family have also honored you in such amazing and thoughtful ways. While our hearts are still broken, there are so many things about your life that continue to be inspiring. When I think of you, I always picture that mischievous, Dennis the Menace grin and it makes me smile. You are missed and loved!

Corey, it has taken me a while to write this, because I have had an unbelievable time wrapping my head around your loss! Initially I was angry and I did what most people do and ask god why he took you, then I mourned (in my own way, Miller brewing owes me some stock) my heart hurt so bad not just for myself but more importantly for your family. After a while I looked at it from a “Corey” perspective. you were always the one that would initiate conversation with people and bring them Into the fold, or go out of your way to do what you could to make them feel welcome. Now I have come to believe that you have gone on ahead of all of us to explain to the lord that although we are Scoundrels (your words) we are worthy of exception into the afterlife. Bottom line I am a better man for knowing you, and I thank the lord that you allowed me to be your friend/brother.. until we meet again!

Corey was a very unique person who loved doing dumb and crazy things just to make people laugh. He never knew when to stop and he was always determined to do things his way. Corey was one of those people that always found a way to become the center of attention while making friends everywhere he went. I will never forget his goofy personality and rebelliousness nature. He will be missed.
