Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure
Connie Ruth Johnson, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Greeley, Colorado. Connie was a devoted family woman known for her warmth and kindness.
Connie was born on January 27th, 1950 in Great Bend, KS to Dolph and Alice Aggson. She had a wonderful childhood growing up in Larned, KS. She graduated from Larned High School in 1968, and continued her education at Phillips University in Enid, OK, where she obtained a B.A. in Sociology. She met Edward Johnson while attending Phillips and they were married in 1972. Together they had two children, Brandon and Megan, and were married for 21 years. Connie and Ed lived in several different states throughout their marriage and she was always grateful that she had seen so many different parts of the country. Her faith and commitment to the church was a very important part of her life and she was thankful for the time she spent serving different church communities.
Connie moved to Greeley, CO in 1994 where she worked for the Department of Human Services until her retirement. She enjoyed her job and made many wonderful lifelong friends. After retirement, she enjoyed hobbies such as working on puzzles, reading, crafts, quilting, gardening and being outside on her swing. She loved watching football and basketball with her grandson, especially her favorite team, the Kansas Jayhawks. Going to church on Sundays with her granddaughter and being a part of the activities in the church was something she cherished. She loved traveling and seeing new places. The ocean was one of her favorite places to be and many summers were spent vacationing there with her family. Connie had a very special relationship with her grandchildren and spent time with them whenever she could.
Throughout her life, Connie was a beacon of love and support, touching the lives of many with her nurturing spirit and generous heart. She will be remembered for her gentle nature, selflessness and unwavering commitment to her family. Not an unkind word can be spoken about her, she was truly one of a kind and loved people unconditionally. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, but her memory will forever be cherished.
Connie is survived by her sister, Ennis DeVore; her children, Brandon and Megan; and her grandchildren, Jase, Lily, and Aspen, as well as many others who loved her. Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Dolph and Alice Aggson and brothers Ron Aggson and Dareld "Babe" Aggson. Connie's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. Connie will always be remembered for her gentle nature and quick smile. As my friend for 20 plus years, I miss her so much! I will miss our 4 hour breakfasts at Epic Egg. We would chat about everything. We were usually able to solve all the world's problems, brag on our kids and grandkids and sometimes just be plain silly. Connie's greatest love and her pride was in her children Megan and Brandon and her grandchildren Jase and Lily. I loved watching her face light up when she talked about them! She was an amazing women and friend. I miss her so much.
