Colin was born in Mesa, AZ on January 25th, 1983. He and his family moved to Petaluma, California when he was 8 years old. He attended Miwok Elementary School, Kenilworth Junior High and graduated from Casa Grande High School. Colin was involved in CYO basketball, Little League baseball, drama productions and band.
Colin had the ability to befriend anyone and had a unique sense of humor. He was the kind of person that everyone noticed when he walked in the room. He was a bright light and filled the lives of those around him with laughter, fun and an outpouring of love. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin and a friend to many. Colin was known for his humor, artistic abilities, magnetic personality and heart of gold.
We miss Colin and know that this loss is deeply felt by many. His memories will continue to beat in our hearts as we mourn his loss.

I came in the colteaux life's in 1993 I be came the boys nanny....I took care of all 3 ...At the time Britt was 5 yrs old. Colin was 10,Corey.was 8,9. I was Pregnant with my 1st child.... Colin always played practical jokes on me he knew I couldn't run and he thought it was very funny me running around the house to Chase all 3 of them.... karla you could tell had her hands full but she kept a tight leash on all 3 of them..... I learned a lot from her I also kept a tight leash on my own after my daughter was born she was so happy because she wanted to have a daughter.... but she had boys.. Through the years we kept in touch but one thing I could say she was sent Christmas cards to let me know how the boys were doing and I really appreciate it that 1 day my husband and I were on a ferry going to the giants game and she was on the ferry too shit we bumped in to each other and handed CD each other in years until that day all that day I'm so glad we got to cut up with things but I'm very sad about what happened to Colin I will keep these memories in my heart forever and I thank you Carla for the chances for me to let me take care of your boys I love you if you ever wanna talk I'm just a phone call away......Todd and Paula Brown

My dearest Colin.....like BEETCH! The inside jokes we have are endless and each have had the ability to make me smile in some sad moments. I will never forget our drives with the windows down and the music blaring. We sang at the top of our lungs and laughed until we cried! Beach days, SF trips, late night talks, phone calls for hours.....all are so dear to my heart. Your ability to make people laugh was one of your greatest quality. Your heart was and continues to be GOLDEN. I love you and miss you SO much! This picture is just one that reminds me of your ability to befriend anyone and shine so bright. To Karla, Brett and the rest of the family...I love you and I am here for anything I can do.

Colin was one of the first friends I made in California when I first moved here in 7th grade. We quickly bonded with our quirky and loud personalities in gym, rooting each other on during activities like rope climbing or running. We continued our friendship throughout our adult life and was glad that I got to seem him while visiting Chicago in 2013. I will always remember Colin and his bright smiled that matched his bright personality. Much love to his whole family in this darkness we now all feel without him.
