Today you would have turned thirty-two You left us all way before your time was due If I could I would trade places with you You were truly loved and are forever greatly missed We know that God, Jesus and the spirit have caused you kissed Not a minute goes by where we don't think of you and reminisce.

Had you not made another bad choice, today you'd be 31 We could've been golfing or surfing having a lot of fun Playing catch or Frisbee with Zephyr out in the warm sun We all miss you so much and I'll never understand why We loved you so much and can't figure out what else we should've try Yes, hardly a hour, a day goes by that we don't have a sadden cry We totally believe that God said enough and brought you home from pain We know you didn't want to keep doing things that made us all insane You were so smart and talented that everyday life to you was so mundane

Cody Gone 3 Yr Sad to realize it’s your gone anniversary number three So many sleepless nights and tears for all to see We feel and see the signs you continue to give us On the everlasting trip on this unwanted sorrow bus We had so many good times together before your disease With your addiction our lives were like a constant trapeze You’re physically gone but always with your mother and me We’re in this ride together on the eternal rolling sea We miss your smiles, humor and hugs Our heart strings having your continual tugs Good thing some of your friends were scared straight We choose all memories of you to be first rate We will see you again in Heaven in the future You got to believe we tried our best to nurture It wasn’t enough the way you came off the rail We’re on the boat continually planning to sail To meet you in Heaven forever again We’ll all rejoice in perfect harmony without sin 4-30-24

Five long years ago you unexpectedly left us forever Not a day goes by that I always wish you weren't so clever You were brilliant beyond your own safety and wellbeing Responsibility, conformity, working hard you were always fleeing Looking for the shortcut you definitely took the early exit We don't believe that you really were ready to quit We know you're still around us everyday wherever we are Feeling your presence and seeing images of you from afar Missing you more hasn't ebbed with the days and years Melancholy, sorrow and good memories filled with tears Looking forward to the future when we can share a wave Until then I will scratch the itch and try to temper the crave.
