September 13th, 1991 - July 15th, 2016

Christopher Robin Matthews affectionately known as Rikki Sisneros passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016. He was born in Santa Fe on September 13, 1991 to Richard Sisneros and Tammy Estrada. He is preceded in death by his Tata, Orlando Sisneros, Uncle Patrick Sisneros, grandfather, Tommy Estrada, and Uncle Jimmy Estrada. He is survived by his daughter, Julia-Ann Sisneros, parents, Richard Sisneros and Tammy Estrada, brothers; Mark Allen, Demitrius, and Cameron Sisneros, and Daniel Bustillos, his Nana, Arlene Sisneros, grandparents, Connie Apodaca and husband Tommy, great-grandmother, Estella Martinez, his uncles and aunts; Michael and Andrea Sisneros, Johanna Sandoval, Ruby Martinez, and numerous cousins and extended family. Rikki loved to spend time with his daughter, Julia, in the summers dressing up and taking her out to the Santa Fe Plaza on dates. He would show her how a lady should be treated. He loved his music, especially writing and singing, skateboarding and hanging out with his friends. Like everything Rikki did in life, his passion for body art was extreme. He enjoyed cooking to an extent. He enjoyed learning how to prepare new dishes and volunteered his talents for others. He really enjoyed the outdoors and spent as much time as he could with Mother Nature. Rikki had a smile and laugh that would light up a room, he spent much time sharing his life with the world; he will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 6:00pm at the Rivera Funeral Home Kiva Chapel with a rosary to follow at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10:00 am at San Isidro Catholic Church (community center) with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Elks Lodge.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Losing someone in death brings such pain and sorrow, especially when they are so young. You can gain comfort in knowing that God knows exactly how you feel because he also lost a son in death. God resurrected his son from the dead and in the bible he promises to do the same for us. At John 5:28, 29 it tells us "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his (Jesus') voice and come out." Yes, we can look forward to seeing our loved ones again in the very near future when Jesus resurrects them. The bible also tells us that it will be at a time when "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." - Revelation 21:3, 4. You can find more comforting thoughts at www.jw.org, search “real hope for your loved ones who have died.”
