We’re missing you a little more Each time we hear your name, We’ve cried so many tears Yet our hearts hurt just the same. We miss our times together Things in common we could share, But nothing fills the emptiness Now that you’re no longer there. We have so many precious memories To last our whole lives through Each one of them reminders Of how much we are missing you.
Chris Davis, a mechanic, sailor and resident of Marathon, FL, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 41 on May 10, 2021. He is survived by his parents, Margaret and Clark LeBlanc, his brothers, David, Nicholas, Patrick and Thomas, his daughters Dani and Harley, 2 grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Chris was a devoted family man who recently moved to Marathon, FL, from Prentiss, MS to live out his dream of the salt life. He recently renamed his live aboard sailboat “Dani-Ellen” after his two daughters. Although Chris was only able to live his dream for 2 short months, he made so many friends in his time after relocating. A celebration of life ceremony was held by the Marathon City Marina to honor our fallen sailor.

If you were here with me now, there’s so many things I would say to you. I don’t think there’s enough space to say them all so I’ll try to keep it as short as I can. I miss you so much it hurts. After our divorce, you had become my best friend. One thing about us, we could never stay apart, even if we had to hide. There are so many memories of you and I. So many wonderful memories. Since the day I found out that you passed away, I haven’t stopped talking about you. I share our memories and your dreams with anyone who will listen. I honestly can talk about you for hours on end and nobody ever gets bored of hearing about you. You made such an impact on me and my life. You showed me how to be me, how to have fun the Chris Davis way. I honestly believe you were my one and only soulmate. I loved you with every ounce of my being and then some. I will love you until the day that I die. My favorite memory of you is the day we met. The first time I laid eyes on you, I just knew we would have something special and we did. You were floating down that lazy river at the waterpark with them beautiful big ol brown eyes. My world stood still right then and there when you smiled at me. Chris Davis sure did have that kind of charm. I never in a million years would have thought a $5.00 bet would have ended up being the best thing I’d ever bet on. Not only did I get your number, I got a date that turned into so much more. You always made me feel so loved by you, even when we said we were just friends. I am so proud of you. It makes my heart happy to know that you finally made it to Florida. I’m sorry I couldn’t go with you. I was making the biggest mistake of my life at that time. I watched your videos and seen your pictures. Your smile and laughter was worth a million bucks. Bet you wish you could’ve made money off that, right? 😂 I love you Christopher Michael Davis. I will always and forever carry you in my heart. I will always talk about you. Promise me you will still come visit me in my dreams. Give my mama a hug for me up there and tell her that I love her and miss her. Valerie Davis Bruce

I say your name and she gets so excited. I feel that you are with us every day. You taught us girls so much about life and spreaded your knowledge amongst us.
