Charles Britton “C.B.” Simmons

C. B. SIMMONS, 88 of Vandalia, IL, formerly of Cisne, passed away at 1:10AM Monday, January 09, 2012 at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL. C. B. was born May 25, 1923 at Cisne, IL to Ira A. (Babe) and Wanda (Clay) Simmons. He married Rosalie Hill, March 15, 1941 at Old Monroe, MO. She preceded him in death Feb. 20, 2007. C. B. loved to quail hunt and was a former Drive-In Theatre operator in Newton, IL and Salem, IN. He was a member of Cisne Christian Church and was a fifty year Mason at Anthony Doherty Masonic Lodge #1111, Cisne, IL. C. B. is survived by one daughter Donna Miller; two sons J. B. and Ron Simmons; and one brother Frank Simmons. Nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive. Preceding him in death were his wife Rosalie, one sister June and his parents Babe and Wanda. Funeral services for C. B. Simmons will be at Hosselton Funeral Home with burial in Cisne Cemetery. Memorials in memory of C. B. Simmons may be given to American Lung Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
