Loved Ones

Charles left this world late March 16, (St. Patrick's Day in Ireland!) due to heart disease.

Charlie's life was large, courageous and generous. He was imaginative, ambitious, determined, and industrious. Highly numerate, he had an airtight memory for dates, names, events and phone numbers. A great storyteller, he always saw the good in people. As an entrepreneur, St. Pat's hockey champ and avid golfer, he pursued big ideas and made them happen. He shared all he had with all of us. His quick wit kept us laughing through the ups and downs. His unstoppable energy, strength and mental prowess was impossible to keep up with.

Born in Ottawa on Christmas Day, he was the second son of Josephine (McKenna) & John Sheehan. He was the first husband of Rose (McGuire) and their marriage formed a deep bond between two large and long settled Ottawa Irish families. A dedicated and proud father of John (1993), Kerry Anne/Charlotte, Susan/Douglas and Paul/Alyssa. His second wife was Laurie (McCainsh; 2000).

A loyal brother to Jack, Mary, Cairine, Patricia and Eddie Rose, Michael, Harold and Pam. Charlie loved his father and mother-in-law Edward and Stella McGuire, and was a steadfast brother-in-law to Kathleen, Maureen and Larry O'Regan, Kenneth, Walter and Terry, Daniel and Carole, Frank, and Margaret Mellor.

Charlie cherished Brian (Brenda), Emily, David (Michelle), Ryan, Norah, Michael (Lisa), Ella Sim, Tara (Eric), and Connor (Emily) Sheehan, Tyler Hunt, Adam and Murray Powell and Cairine Rose. He had very strong relationships with and love for the extended clan of McGuire cousins and family friends.

Charlie had endless chuckles and generosity for the friends of his children whom he welcomed into the home at all hours of the day and nights!

We fondly remember and miss Dad, Charles, Charlie and are thankful for the time we had with him. A celebration of Charlie will be announced when we can safely gather.
