Charles Anthony Golembiewski, lovingly known as "Charlie" to family and friends, passed away peacefully at his home in Warren on February 10, 2023 with his wife by his side. He was born on November 24, 1937, to Stanley and Helen Golembiewski, Charlie lived a fulfilling life that was defined by his dedication to family, hard work, and a deep love for his country.

Charlie served in the Navy for four years, and his patriotism never wavered. After his time in the military, he worked as a truck driver for 40 years, retiring in 2005. Charlie was a reliable and trustworthy employee, always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. He took pride in his work and valued the friendships he made along the way.

When Charlie wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time at the Elks Club with his friends. He loved to socialize, and his friendly demeanor made him a beloved member of the community. Charlie's laughter and good-natured spirit will be missed by all who knew him, including his dog rascal.

Above all, Charlie cherished his family. He was married to the love of his life, Marilyn Luddington, in 2001. Charlie is survived by his son Jeff. He was a proud stepfather to William (Becky), Michael, and Lisa Luddington, and a loving grandfather to Amanda, whom he adored. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy, and his cousin Dolly and Don Sprague.

Charlie's passing is a loss for all who knew him. He was a kind, gentle soul who always put others first. He will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty and his loving heart.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Charlie's life, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him. Rest in peace, Charlie.

Charlie's final resting place will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. He will be laid to rest with Navy honors on Monday, February 27th, 2023.
