Charles Emmett Davis

Charles Emmett Davis, 64, of Harrisville WV, passed away on Saturday April 28, 2018 at Care Haven in Belmont WV after a battle with cancer. He was born February 1, 1954, in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late Emmett and Betty (Simmons) Davis. He was a graduate of Harrisville High Class of 74. Charles was a proud 13 year Army Veteran. He worked for Corning and Schott Scientific Glass companies and recently retired from Simonton Windows. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching sports on TV. He loved the Reds, Cleveland Browns and the Rebel Sports teams. Most importantly he loved spending time with his grandsons. He is survived by his wife Doris Griffith Davis, daughter Mellisa Davis Kaplan, Son in law Mike Kaplan, grandsons Josh Kaplan (Shelby Layfield) and Cody Kaplan, brothers John (Mary Lou) Davis and Steve (Tammy) Davis, brother in law Duane (Sue) Griffith. He was proceeded in death by his brother Alvin Lee Davis. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
