Jai Shree Krishna Baa was a kind and loving person. She always had a smile to offer and always made sure you were comfortable in her home. Her passing has made me realise that we all hold onto that zest and purpose for life and embrace the moments we all have together.

Mithi Yaadein JSK All - I’m posting this tribute on behalf of Vimlaben Babulal Popat Parivar. Our Mother Vimlaben was an older sister of Chandamasi and as Anant said to me on the day Chandamasi passed away ….. ‘She is with her sister …. And both at peace but …constantly chatting non-stop : how lovely. A great loss …’ Absolutely! Amazingly they all shared a very special bond. May they both along with their loved ones be at eternal peace and forever bless us all! So us sisters & brothers: Popats/Radias/Sachdevsall grew up together in South Norwood. We all spent masses of Quality time with our beloved Grandparents, Parents, Uncles n Aunts! Hence, I’ve got loads of fond memories but will share a couple of my favourites .. Chandamasi used to make deep fried Paratha (large puris) and Shak for breakfast before going to work! We were all quite young - at school/college whatever! So it was like an open house - I just used to walk in (approx 7 minutes from our place) when I fancied the garam garam chai/breakfast. I was ALWAYS welcome … Masa would quickly give me a plate - Chandamasi would serve the food …pan hot! I was quite spoilt They would not even let me take my plate away from the table … reason?Apparently they did not want me to be late for school! We can only just reminisce about those days and smile! Navratri - our Family favourite was at Stanley Hall - South Norwood! Many a time; I would get home and only have a glass of milkshake, so I could quickly get ready to go to Garbas with Mum! We would stop to pick Chandamasi on the way! But never did we get to the hall on time - why? Chandamasi could not decide what sari to wear - so I would go in and help her make this really very important decision!!! But after that she was quick to drape it etc! I would then do her chhedo and safety pin - which had to be exactly how & where she wanted even if it meant I had to redo it a few times! We would eventually get to the hall in time for Dandiya Raas as Garbas would be finished sorting my Masis sari! Memories that we will cherish forever

Jay Shree Krishna Sachdev Family It was an honour and a privilege for us to have known Baa. Baa was a model of love, compassion and generosity and welcomed us into the family with open arms and showing everyone to importance of Charity and Love as key parts of our culture and values, values that she has passed on in great measure to her children and all her wider family. The best remedy for a difficult event that turns our lives upside down is to give love freely, and to receive the love that comes to us in return. .The death of my Baa has really brought home to me that, when we leave this world, our material goods, roles, titles, and profits no longer matter. All that counts when we leave, when we have completed our mission, is that we loved fully, and were loved in return. I sincerely believe that, when we leave this life, our soul takes this love with it. Thinking of Baa automatically brings a smile to the lips of those who knew her because she loved life. Thank you, dear Baa, for the great privilege of having known you for 8 years. I know you are still here among us. Thank you for reminding us that the present moment is precious, and that we should make the most of it by loving fully and generously. Spread your wings and fly proudly, Baa. Subhash, Dinta, Shyam & Nikki and Dattani Family.

Dear Sachdev Family Baa was a very sweet and compassionate lady, that represented the traditional Indian values that are revered by all cultures. She was a link between the previous (pre-war) generations and the values that need to be taught to the new, younger generations in the UK. My favourite memory of her will always be eating her Kheer (specially prepared) at the Sachdev household after school during the 1990s. Shamir
