I'm thinking of Carol today. I think of her through the years. She taught me so much. Once we did a study on the tongue that she had put together. I still refer to this study in my head. Like wasted words as I talk too much. Also in 2008 I was out of work, she had me go into Craigslist when we went out to breakfast together and I found a job just like that. She had such wisdom. If someone criticized me she would have me look at the criticism and then see if it was true. We would look at the verses. She gave me verses that she put together in the lamination and I would put them around my condo. There quite simply was no one like her.

Carol, still fondly referred to as Mrs Wolff in our home. I knew her as the wonderful story teller at AWANA. Some years ago, Wednesday evenings she would share stories of great heroes of the faith and point us heavenward. The stories were for our little children but a group of us moms would congregate in the back of the room to be inspired too. Our family is saddened to hear of her passing and look forward to a reunion one day. Our condolences to Ken and family.

I knew Carol through church. She was always so genuine and caring, asking how I was doing. My most recent memory was her encouraging words to me after I shared about my miscarriage. She wrote me and said “Doesn't it blow your mind to consider all that God must hold of love? His care and concern for His Beloved?” She spoke freely of her own struggles and her faith. I’m thankful to have known Carol and her walk with God was an encouragement to me in my walk. She will be greatly missed, but I look forward to seeing her again one day.

We remembered Mom on her 69th birthday yesterday. As a kid her birthday dessert request was always Grandma's Boston cream pie. I have never seen Grandma's recipe, but this is the one that I made for many of Mom's birthdays over the years. https://www.sfgate.com/recipes/article/Top-Recipe-1996-Bostini-Cream-Pie-2550380.php
