Carol Jean Laumann

Carol Jean Laumann passed away on March 24, 2022. A California resident since childhood, she earned her AB in Education and teaching credential at UCLA in 1952, taught in Alhambra elementary schools, and consulted to the Pasadena Unified School district, in addition to volunteering in her children’s schools, with the League of Women Voters, and as an advocate for nuclear non-proliferation. In 1984, she earned an MS in Counseling and certificate in Marriage and Family Counseling from Cal State LA and subsequently practiced psychotherapy in Arcadia and Monrovia. Carol was an avid traveler and lover of the arts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, and is survived by her loving children Brett, Lisa, and Stacey Laumann, son-in-law Steve Moran, and grandsons Max and Julian Moran. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2 pm at Pasadena Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southern Poverty Law Center, Environmental Defense Fund, Pasadena Presbyterian Church, or Emanate Hospice Foundation.
