So sorry to hear of the passing of Carl. Although I haven’t seen him in 50 years I have fond memories of him and heartened to see he still had a strong faith and went on to have a wonderful life. Paula

Uncle Carl, you will forever be in my heart - your gentle smile, powerful laughter, words of wisdom and undeniable love for Opal - I will remember it all. How you watched over the growth of our sons (Leaford and I) - Nathan and Nicholas - and had "man talks" with them to help them in their own manhood. How you cracked jokes with Nick in 2006 and contributed to Nathan's tuition in 2020. Our family has been blessed. You were always strong as a lion, but meek as a lamb. Just like Jesus. We will miss you, but we'll see you again. Love from your sister-in-Christ, Anthea Henderson.

A scholar and a gentleman; a neighbor and a friend; Carl was strong in his faith and guided by the Word, so knowledgeable in global and political affairs; it seemed Carl could discuss any topic Very devoted to his wife Opal; he always spoke of her in endearing terms He will be sadly missed by us, may he rest in eternal peace Ian and Vassie

How did you meet Carl?
It is with a sad heart that I calibrate the life of Brother Carl, an extraordinary individual, and a dear friend. His kindness, compassion and unwavering faith, and interlect was an inspiration. His devotion to God was a shining example to all. Rest in peace dear friend. Your memory will be a blessing to all.

Uncle Carl was a man of integrity and compassion. He used to deal with the disgruntled workers at Alpart, while the High Management were disinterested. He was disciplined and full of self-control. He was very loyal and protective of his dear wife, Auntie Opal. He was very hospitable and generous, and was a father to many. He had strong faith in God. He loved the Lord Jesus dearly and particularly enjoyed the book of Daniel. He was always delighted to meet people and greeted Magdy and myself with a warm welcome. He loved physical exercise and spoke fondly of his youth when he used to go hunting. He loved dogs and cherished their companionship. He was very fond of children, particularly Dax. Magdy misses having conversations with him about world affairs. We are sure that he is having a wonderful time in Heaven, meeting his favourite prophets! Blindess was a scourge to him, but he was determined to be triumphant and resourceful. He used technology to keep up to date with current affairs and to listen to the Bible. We miss his wisdom, insight and kindness.
