Brodie Malakai DeLancy, 17, passedaway unexpectedly on Monday, February 19th, 2024 at his home inFleming, Ohio. He was born on June 2nd, 2006, in Parkersburg, WV to BenjaminMicheal DeLancy and Laura Elizabeth Ullman DeLancy. He was preceded in death byGrandfather Lester Ullman, Grandfather Jack DeLancy, Great Grandma Lucy King,Aunt Miranda Prunty, Uncle Jackie DeLancy & Cousin Melissa DeLancy.Brodie was a junior at Warren LocalHigh School. He was a member of the Bass Chorus & played the alto saxophonein the Symphonic Band. He was also in the HS Gaming Club & 4H. Last year heassisted with the school musical and was previously a member of the MarchingWarriors & the Big Blue Machine. His hobbies included the SCA (Society forCreative Anachronism), Minecraft, Roblox & World of Warcraft. Brodie is survived by his parents,Ben & Laura DeLancy, Siblings Akasha, Caitlyn, Diana & Elena DeLancy, JenniferGrim, Brittany Caldwell, Kacey Yoak, Isaiah Stacey, Noah Smith, Aunt LindaNeedham, Missy Payne, Jenna Young, Grandma Kathy DeLancy & Grandma DonnaUllman. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins as well as other chosenfamily.Brodie had a quick smile and willbe missed by all that knew him. He was a great son, brother, classmate &friend. A Celebration of Life will be heldthis Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Unitarian UniversalistSociety of Marietta at Third and Putnam Streets.
