Brian Lee Farnsworth, 60, a Vienna resident, passed away April 8, 2020, at the Teays Valley Center in Hurricane, WV. He was born in Parkersburg on May 26, 1959, to the late Robert and Juanita Seevers Farnsworth. Brian was a 1977 graduate of PHS, where he was a member of the Big Red Band and TV Honor Society, and received a bachelor’s degree in 1982 from West Virginia Wesleyan College. A long-term associate of Radio Shack in Vienna, he enjoyed technology, trivia, and cheering for his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. His strong faith was exemplified though his service of others, including as an active member of Crossroads United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark, and niece Nicole Winebrenner. He is survived by a sister, Jeri Winebrenner (Neale) of Amherst, Ohio; nieces Heather Torres (Mike) of Avon, Ohio, and Rebecca Winebrenner (Mike Dills) of Tewksbury, Massachusetts; nephew Brandon Winebrenner of Amherst; three grandnieces and three grandnephews; and many cousins and friends. A memorial service is being planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Habitat for Humanity, as well as Brian’s example to love our neighbors as ourselves. God bless you my friend. I first met Brian while working at Radio Shack in the 80's. We became instant friends. We went to several Pirates games. We ended up working together at a few places along life's journey. He was at my wedding in 1987. My heart dropped when I read that he had passed away. Although we haven't seen in each in awhile, I will certainly miss him but I know through his faith he is in heaven now.

I really liked Brian; he was a terrific person and a great friend. He had a fine sense of humor and a very impressive intellect. He was a person of faith who gave his all to his church Crossroads United Methodist Church. He will be missed by many.

Remembering Brian, sweet, geeky in the best way, with a brilliant mind and awesome sense of humor. We graduated from both PHS and WVWC the same years, but had lost touch over the years. My sincere condolences to his family.

Brian was a good friend. I will miss talking to him and he was a joy to sit beside in the choir at church. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time!
