Here is Bill, sitting to the extreme left of a big gang of friends from Wolfeboro. This was taken in the year 1999 or 2000. Bill had donned his more mature beard. We were all getting older by this point. Bill was calming down and starting a new chapter in life; marriage and parenting.

Bill sitting in the center of a large crowd at at Bachelor party breakfast in near Shasta in the early 2000’s. Legs crossed and smiling, he was a fixture for these trips to my folks cabin. He was there at the very first trip I took friends up there in 1991.

Despite 11 years as State Net colleagues, my enduring memories of Bill are of Voodoo Chicken on TCR, and when he officiated at a mutual friend's wedding. I probably never thanked him properly for inviting me to his 4th of July party in '95, but it was an important moment in my emerging from a dark period into Part II of my life. We laughed a lot and compared notes on experiences travelling in the UK.
