Bill was smart, funny and kind, and he an incomparable gift for telling stories and for making people feel better. He was bigger than life, he was a magnet. He was a talker but also a good listener. He had real empathy. But most importantly he was a great dad. He always talked about Kyle and Tyler, how proud he was of their accomplishments, how he couldn’t wait to see them again. They are lucky boys and we’re all lucky to know Bill.

I was so sorry to hear about Bill's passing. I loved working with him at Davis Wright Tremaine. He would help with anything and always had a smile on his face and took the time to listen. He had a way of always making my day a little brighter. Rest in Peace my Friend.

Bill was irreverent, funny, politically incorrect, funny and I'm surprised that we didn't get thrown out of the lunchroom more than once! We were so loud and obnoxious on some days that we had people move across the lunchroom to get away from us. Being somewhat of a brave sort, I attended a mandatory HR Diversity seminar with Bill, and we sat in the first few rows. He behaved surprisingly well, considering his usual demeanor, and I complimented his restraint during the presentation. He said something to the effect of, "Are you kidding? That woman scares me to death, she doesn't play!". Bill was easy to horrify, IF, you knew how. Tanis and I were always nagging him to go for a Colonoscopy, and of course he reacted in a very negative manner. I used to take great delight in describing the procedure in vivid detail, just to watch him squirm and protest. I told Bill that the next time I had one, he could arrange to have his on the same day, and we could watch each other's screen.

Bill was a one of kind person. Sarcastic, humorous, sweet, (shhh, don’t tell him that) gruff. We were both at work early at least an hour before the rest of the staff came in. Most mornings i would pull up his little rolling chair and sit and chat while he was sending emails back and forth to his sons. He spent a lot of time talking about them and his grandkids. He was so proud of their accomplishments. Bill always wanted me to make him pie. Every morning, Kel where’s my pie. I finally brought him one and the look on his face was priceless. His eyes got so big and round. He said several times , This is for me? But then he in his sarcastic way asked where the ice cream was. i almost died laughing. He had that pie eaten before lunch. Bill will be very much missed. Rest in Peace friend.

I always enjoyed seeing Bill in the lunchroom at the old DWT building. He was kind and gregarious, and we had quite a few conversations about our beloved Huskies. He was one of those people that seems able to be friends with just about anyone. We will miss you, Bill!

I remember having so many fun conversations with Bill. I am so sorry to hear that he died. I will miss the fun banter. He was a great co-worker and a good friend.
