Benjamin Ben Mokay

Memorial

Mementos

Benjamin (Ben) Mokay was an integral part of our credit union, not only in the role he had in our organization, but as a friend to many. He began working for our credit union in June of 2018 with IT Help Desk, but he quickly accepted the opportunity to become the Product Owner of Episys. He was a fast learner and picked up the new responsibility almost overnight. He had many amazing things ahead of him both in work and in life. We are proud to have had Ben work alongside us and he was grateful every day for the opportunities he had at our organization. His family reached out to let us know that Ben felt that God had sent him to work here and he appreciated the work and his team deeply. We've created this memorial page for our credit union to share how Ben impacted our lives during his time with us. Please share your stories, photos, and memories of Ben here so we can all remember him a little bit better. We'll share this memorial privately with his family as well, so they can hear and see what Ben meant to us. Thank you for contributing to this lasting memorial.

Ben is my dad and I don’t know why but for some reason I just felt like searching his name up and this website popped up. I just wanna say thank you so much for all the kind words. It really means a lot. I feel like I’ve forgotten what he was like since you’ve passed so young, but this really helped me remember him who he was thank you all so much for loving him.

My heart broke when I heard that Ben passed away. As others have shared, Ben was a remarkable person - so kind, humble, tenderhearted and a real treasure to know. It was always a joy to see him around the office and to hear what was happening in his life. Life seemed to hold nothing but opportunities and progress for him. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and everyone who has felt his loss. His passing leaves a void that can't be filled. One memory of Ben that I'll always cherish and that spoke to the type of man he was happened not too long after he started working at Inspirus. We had our annual holiday party and during the evening there was a problem with the AV equipment. Suddenly the entire room of over 100 people began chanting his name as he made his way to the front of the room to fix the problem. Later that night when Ben won a raffle prize the room again erupted into excited chants of his name. A few days later I asked him how it felt to be the most loved member of our team. He said that he was so touched by everyone's reactions that night, that at the end of the evening as he was driving home, he shed tears. We appreciated him, we loved him, and he felt that. Godspeed, Ben.

Because I seem to have more IT challenges than the avg team member, I had the opportunity to connect regularly with Ben. I immediately noticed how thoughtful, kind and willing he always was. And when I looked into his eyes, I saw a loving, caring person who truly wanted to help. He was funny and playful, and always seemed genuinely happy. He spoke with pride about his family and friends. He was loved by EVERYONE....I mean EVERYONE! His passing leaves a big hole in my heart. I will see you on the other side my brother!

Ben was the guy who went above and beyond for his co-workers and never made you feel like an inconvenience. One of the last emails we exchanged I thanked him for the help and he responded with this "I am humbled by your email. I sincerely love working here at Inspirus and everyone I work with and will always strive to do more at each and every occasion I get". What a huge loss, Ben you will be SO VERY missed.

I was so sad to hear about Ben's passing. He was such a great guy. I looked forward to seeing him when I was in the office because he was always so happy. I was just getting to know him better as we worked on the same project. He will be missed!

I have so many mixed emotions after hearing the news of Ben's passing. How can we lose such an amazing guy at such a young age? Life is sometimes very unfair but everything happens for a reason. We might have lost an amazing soul but heaven gained a very kind and gentle angel. I had the pleasure of sitting near you at work and witnessed what a hard worker you are. Your infectious laugh always brightened my day. You and I have had many conversations about work on Saturdays because something went wrong. You saw I was on and asked for assistance. Your dedication as an employee, a father, a fiancé, and a friend can never be replaced. My thoughts and prayers are with your fiancé, your children, and your parents. Thank you for sharing Ben with us. I am a better person for knowing him. He taught me that everyone should always be treated with kindness and respect. Though we won't see your smile anymore, your spirits will live on in our memories and the lives you have touched. Au revoir mon ami. Vous etes un parmi un million.
