Loved Ones

Forever in our hearts until we meet again

Ben Jr was born in Memphis, TN, on Wednesday, May 1st, 2002, the son of Benjamin David Hamilton and Courtney Noe Jennings. During his life he was fortunate enough to also know, love, and be loved by two additional ‘bonus’ parents: Kevin Ross Jennings and April EA Hamilton.

Ben Jr passed away as a result of a tragic single vehicle motorcycle accident in the early morning hours of Friday, May 20th, 2022 in College Station, TX.

Ben Jr was a 2020 national honors society graduate of DeSoto Central High School in Olive Branch, MS, and had just completed his sophomore year of college at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where he majored in mathematics and minored in psychology. He was a National Merit Finalist and winner of the Texas A&M Presidential Endowment Scholarship. Academics were extremely important to Ben Jr and he strived constantly to always achieve high grades in his classes. He was an eclectic individual who enjoyed a wide range of music, movies, tv shows, and hobbies – most importantly, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his motorcycle club, spending time with friends, and sharing his life with his fiancé, Valerie Elizabeth Pinkston. Though both very young, Ben Jr and Valerie had already experienced great hardship and great happiness in this life, and their futures were blindingly bright.

Ben Jr had a very large and very loving family. Ben Jr is survived by three siblings, all of whom he loved and cherished immeasurably: Damon Ray Jennings (brother), Taylor Renee Jennings (sister), and Connor Ross Jennings (brother).

Ben Jr is also survived by grandparents (William Tully Noe, Frances Allen Noe, David Wayne Hamilton, Doris Faye Hamilton, Patricia Anne Fosbinder, Diann Jennings Kelley, Jimmy Kelley, Alvah Eugene Adams, III, Lynne Terhune Adams, Sharon Renee Riddle, and Randy Rainier Riddle), Great-Grandparents (Patricia Newberry Adams, Alma Hamilton, Gilbert Terhune, Earl Ward, and Virginia Ward), numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, and countless wonderful friends.

Ben Jr enjoyed discussing religious and political beliefs, he wanted to learn and understand the perspectives of others. His senior quote was: “It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong” – Voltaire. He was always encouraged to form his own beliefs and opinions, and to be his own person.

Ben Jr was kind, thoughtful, funny, sarcastic, loving, stubborn, opinionated, curious, intuitive, obstinate, cool, courageous, determined, and intelligent.

Rest in peace, Benjamin David Hamilton, Jr, you will live on in our hearts and memories for eternity – until we meet again.
