When Barry Pope Fenton was born on October 9, 1930, his father, Thomas, was 24 and his mother, Margery, was 24. He married Catherine Howarth Garcia in 1953 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. They had four children during their marriage. He died on January 26, 2017, in South Dennis, Massachusetts, at the age of 86.
