Beautiful day in the Mournes. I brought up the wee memorial stone. Slieve Bernagh. One of Barry's many summits. No rainbows today but God's promises still hold. We will see him again one day.

Barry Remembering you on your 52nd birthday. Our minds still talk to you and our hearts still look for you. But our Souls know you're at peace.

A week ago we stayed at Barry's home, Moor Cottage in Downley, High Wycombe. He wasn't there of course, but he was everywhere. Jo is so brilliant with Jude and Joel and Barry would have been so proud of them all. Now as we look at his grave today, it is so hard to believe he has left us.

Missing Barry as always....5 years since he went on ahead. Went to the cemetary today with Mum and Dad. Mum got these pretty flowers for Barry's grave. I stuck up a nice pic I found from one of my visits to Jordan. I remember how Jude ate chicken when I made it and Barry said..how come you eat chicken for Auntie Alice when you normally don't. That was a proud moment. Many happy meals we had together in places around the world where Bars (and Jo) were humbly doing fabulous work in difficult situations. Tomorrow I hope to go up Slieve Bernagh which was one of Bar's favourite mountains over here. I remember we went up once and there was a brocken spectre. We stood on a tor and saw our shadows in a rainbow. That was beautiful.

Barry, remembering you, not that we ever forget, this Christmas. Jo, Jude and Joel were in Bangor with the family over the holidays. You would have been proud of them.

Barry, you would have been 51 today. Flowers from our garden on your grave - the Camellia flowered early in time for us to leave some for you. And the sun was shining.
