Loving, kind, generous person, who will forever live in our hearts
Barbara Luzzo, 74 years, of Fort Lauderdale FL, died November 25, 2021. Born May 27, 1947, in Bloomington, IL, the daughter of Mary & Eugene Wagner.
As a child living in Fowler Indiana, Barbara had a dog named Ginger which she loved to dress up for fun. Barbara's sense of fun and adventure carried into adulthood and was instilled early in her own kids with amazing family road trips, education and shared experiences. She had fond memories of her father always being kind to everyone and always had a trinket to give from his pocket. Barbara too was a giver and loved nothing more than to see the smile on the faces of others. Barbara graduated from Fowler High School in 1965 and went on to study at X-Ray Technical College in Chicago, IL.
Barbara met Jack her future husband in a Chicago bar while a college student in 1968. Jack was home in Chicago shortly after graduating from the University of Florida. They soon fell in love and married on April 11th, 1970. Barbara moved to Florida to start a family while working in the medical profession for 30+ years as a radiology technician specializing in mammography.
After retirement, Barbara remained very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She loved travel, shopping, spending time with her friends and her grandchildren. Barbara had true strength as an individual, exuded generosity and kindness to all she met. You were always welcomed all into her life. Barbara had a significant impact on the lives she has touched and will be missed by many.
Barbara was preceded in death; by her mother Mary Elizabeth Isaacson; her father Eugene Ryan Wagner. Barbara is survived by her husband by 1 day, as Jack Luzzo who followed Barbara to heaven less than 24 hours after she passed away; her loving daughter, Whitney Elizabeth Luzzo-Kelly of Banora Point NSW Australia, son Michael Ryan Luzzo of Jacksonville, 3 grandchildren – Lachlan, Kai & Finley, her beloved sister Carolyn Reifel, daughter-in-law Joanna, son-in-law Damian and nephews.

I was Mrs. Luzzo’s sons fraternity brother and the times I spent with family I always felt part of the family. Its a testament to her and Mr. Luzzo’s embracing of Mike’s college friends as extended family. I enjoyed being with them, especially during gamedays in Gainesville. They will truly be missed. God Bless!
