Early in the new year, Bailey returned to our heavenly Father.  He will be missed by so many, but especially his sister, Madison, and his mother, Rachael.  They watched over him with unbounded love.  Bailey brightened the lives of so many, including his older siblings: Jessica, Josh, Heather and Hailey; his grandparents: Bill and Francine Osenton, Vicky and Jack Miller; his Uncles and Aunts: Jason & Lisa Osenton, Michelle & Dan Dix, Kelly Grady; his cousins: Avery and Emma Osenton; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Bailey had a smile that would bring you immediate joy, an adventurous spirit that sent him exploring, a love of baseball, snowboarding at Alpine, PB&J sandwiches, coffee, salt and pepper shakers, a toy fishing pole, his Blue’s Clues Handy Dandy notebook and Mickey Mouse clubhouse.  Bailey was non-verbal, but he could communicate his desires by directing others to do his bidding.  Although he had some physical disabilities, Bailey taught us unconditional love and enjoyment of life.

No matter what, he always smiled. He always made us smile and showed all of us what was important in life.....live life to the fullest every moment and LOVE as much as you can.  Bailey gave us amazing memories – some were spectacular like riding Space Mountain or wake boarding at Cape Cod, and some were quite simple like holding your hand or giving you a hug.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday January 11th at St. Vincent’s Church at 12pm (35 Liberty St. Petaluma) and a reception to immediately follow at Hotel Petaluma at 1:15pm (205 Kentucky St. Petaluma)

Oh Bailey, while many of us had the pleasure of being your teacher over the years, I truly believe you were the teacher of all of us. I have recounted the first time we met many times as an example of meeting a child where they are not where you want them to be. Our first meeting was your preschool intake assessment. You would not get out from under the coffee table. So, I brought all of my toys and materials under the table and we did the assessment there! You were happy as a clam and we bonded. I will never forget your Handy Dandy notebook or that adorable, yet mischievious grin! Even though it has been many years since you were in my class, I always enjoyed hearing about you and your crazy antics. You were so blessed to have Rachael for a mom and her a son like you. Thank you for making me a better teacher and the world a brighter place. Rachael and Madison, you are in my heart and thoughts.
