Mummy dearest ! Thank you for the quality education, laying a strong foundation for my spiritual walk from buying devotion books for me, through to having personal discussions and writing out your notes from church for you. Thank you for always taking care of me. I remember the fond moments we shared, joking and laughing. You profoundly fed and showered me with immense love, not forgetting the constant check-ups, the amazing surprises and the invaluable counsel you offered! I, already, miss you sorely, but be assured that you will forever live in my heart! Although I will never see you again, I am comforted by the fact that you’re with your Maker now and at perfect peace! Rest in glory, my most beloved SHERO and affable GEM. I’ll always love you, SWEET MUMMY, dearest, and carry on with our shared dreams! SLEEP WELL, MY ANGELIC MUM! With love, Mina

Death cannot take away memories of you. Thank you for the many lives that you have impacted. Aunty Emma, your leadership, mentorship, and guidance made many people fulfill their dreams. Personally, I thank you for loving my girls, believing in them and for challenging them to strive on. Aunty Emma, you will always remain alive in our hearts. I am just heartbroken for this loss!

Auntie Emma, a mother we wish we all had. I was recently reminded by my older sister how as a child in Ghana she grew very sick. But out of the blue auntie and uncle showed up to visit her, they saw how she was literally at deaths door. They rushed her to hospital, if it wasn't for their intervention my older sister would be dead by now. Truly a remarkable woman who left a deep impact and legacy in the lives of so many, I'm mournful of the time we did not get to spend together. But I rejoice in hope knowing by God's grace you are in the Lord's loving arms. Life is like a vapour we are here today and gone tomorrow, like you Auntie I want to make the most of my stewardship with the time God has allotted me. When I think of you I'm reminded of lives well lived both you and uncle, how you have impacted generations, you have left giant shoes to fill but with the help of God all things are possible. Much love and blessings from your nephew Welbeck, Allysha and family.

I hadn’t seen you in years, since leaving Action Chapel in 2005/6 but God was gracious enough to enable me to visit Ghana last year in May. When I was approaching you on your porch you scolded me for being late (and I really was!) and said my name. I thought you might not remember me, it having been so long since we met but you never forget, do you aunty Emma? Oh how my heart weeps now, realising it was my last chance to be with you! But in the same breath I am so grateful because I DID get to see you. You charged me to do right by my girls, to take the right decisions for them and you encouraged me to raise them as I was: in the faith!!! Aunty Emma, I did exactly that when I came back and made arrangements to move them from the school I told you about that promoted homosexuality in their lessons!!! It was hard and meant a lot more work for me as the girls had to be separated but I am eternally grateful that I did it!! My eldest is now in a Catholic school and not only receiving a wholesome education but is constantly learning about God. I will forever hold your last words close to my heart aunty Emma. You reminded me that ANYTHING small can and WILL grow - WITH GOD! Even in recuperation, you exuded grace and strength and love. Love. I am heartbroken for my dearest friend Ewuraesi because she will miss you as will the rest of the family. I am so sorry that I didn’t bring my girls to see you. Please smile down on us from heaven and as you urge us on with the great cloud of witnesses, we will keep running! I’m happy that you are reunited with Daddy; what a joyous moment that must have been! Aunty! If Heaven is real, you are already there!! That gives me immeasurable hope!!! You lived by your principles and never changed- it is such a great example I hope to emulate! A life truly well lived!!!!! Rest in peace aunty. THANK YOU FOR BEING MY BIGGEST SUPPORTER even after 20 years of not being directly in contact. I will always love you.
