Arjun and I were friends going back to high school. I have many fond memories and we’ve had some really amazing times together. Vividly recall playing table tennis on the regular during our high school days and getting mad every time I lost to him (which was a lot)…we were both hyper-competitive and that led to a few broken rackets. It was a great time… I’ve always had a deep respect for Arjun and considered him to be one of my most genuine friends. I always admired his honesty - he would say it just as he saw it…there were no smoke and mirrors with Arjun. I’m sure he was a helluva pilot too and took the responsibility of keeping everyone safe to heart, every single time he flew. He was the kind of friend I knew I could absolutely rely on in my time of need. This pic was from the last time I met him back in 2020. It is heartbreaking to think that he is gone. I will miss him dearly…

It has still not sunk in that I won’t meet arjun again - hear his stories about the new shortcut he had found to beat the system 😂 He was so talented having joined the merchant navy, been a pilot, grown mushrooms, dabbled in hydroponic gardening, day trading, developed an algorithm to manage his trades, traded crypto, planned to start a goat farm, told his nieces some fabulous stories… and i probably don’t know some of the more crazy stuff 😊 We had an awesome time when he stayed with us in mumbai while attending some merchant navy exams. Needless to say, the exams were a nice reason to be in mumbai and he was fresh as a daisy and ready to paint the town red at 6pm. We had some great conversations at Hawaiian shack where he met a charming waitress - and of course we there every evening while he was in town 😂 I hope he is at peace - he will be missed. Karan

I have known Capt Arjun ever since we started working at Akasa Air, though it feels like much longer. He was always jovial, kind, and helpful. He was like a mentor, guided us to get through training, and took all the time and effort to explain and discuss things to us methodically and in detail. I really was looking forward to flying and riding our bikes together. May he rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to the family for this loss. Hitesh

Some people leave behind memories so effortless and genuine that you never realise how much they meant until the silence arrives. Had the privilege of flying when he was a First Officer — a gentle soul who was always smiling, grounded, practical, and calm no matter what the day brought. The kind of person who made every flight deck lighter just by being there. Gone far too soon. The skies feel a little emptier today. Rest easy, my friend. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered always.

Dear Arjun it is so hard to believe that you will not walk in the door with your trademark smile. Or, to know that we won’t have the chance to hear one of your hilarious stories or sarcastic comments which always made one wonder if you were pulling our leg or actually referring to something true! Your stories bore out how truth is often stranger than fiction! You’ve always been such a vibrant, dynamic person, someone who sees the funny side of life, but is also ready to come forward in times of need. Thank you for being there to help when we brought my father home- I will never forget your kindness and warmth. You will be missed so much!
