The Mindoro and Tamayo cousins were a close knit group growing up in Pasay city. All of us went to PCA and worshiped in Pasay English Church. One by one we immigrated to the USA. Inday Araceli as we fondly called her stayed in the Philippines. She served the needs of growing kids. It is so gratifying to know that she had such an impact on many young people who attributed their spiritual growth to her mentorship. What a legacy. Truly her works and influence have followed her all the way to the kingdom where she will see the fruits of her labor. Rest in the arms of Jesus my dear cousin

Dr. Araceli Mindoro Dealo was my mentor and second mother at Pasay Adventist Church. PAC was a caring church then because of her and her family. She was a Sabbath School teacher and superintendent Par Excellence. She always wanted the best for God and endeavored to bring our the best in others like me. She will never be forgotten in the history of Adventism in the Philippines because she was the writer and director of the Sabbath School special feature presented during the Centennial celebration of Adventist in the Philippines in March of 2005 at Araneta Coliseum. I praised the Lord for have known and being associated with her. Her memories and counsels will be forever in my heart. See you soon Dra. Cely...Your legacy will continue on...

Manang Cely will be truly missed. She had been my big sister, my mentor, my boss. I was her assistant at her clinic when I was in college. I learned all the vaccines, diagnoses, and all the phone numbers of all our patients. She was very generous and she made sure I did not charge those who were not able to afford the professional fee. Every Christmas we wrapped so many presents, that she had bought for all the staff she worked with in the hospital. She was an excellent Pediatrician. Just one look or smell, she already knew the diagnosis! Manang Cely was very strict with me. She made sure I got straight As, whenever I’m asked to speak in public she’d make sure I know my speech by heart and I have to practice it in front of her. Growing up, she made me read Messages to Young People, and Fascinating Womanhood! She made me memorize hundreds of Bible verses. This little tomboy, who’d rather be climbing trees, sure had difficulty complying…but did me a-lot of good! We bought fabrics often and took them to the dressmaker so almost every Sabbath we would each have a brand new dress! She taught me how to walk properly in heels and how to be ladylike

I am forever thankful to Dr. Araceli Dealo for being my mentor as one of sabbath school sup at PAC. I am just a newbie, a certified probinsyano that was given an opportunity to be a leader. Her inspiring leading has changed my perspective on being a youth leader. She looked beyond my stubbornness and imperfections because she saw that vigor and youthful zest to learn. Rest now in God’s loving arms until Jesus comes
