I knew Dita VERY well, I was really close to her when I lived in Virginia Beach between 1998-2001. I lost touch with her not long after I moved away, aside from a few phone calls here and there. I've always wondered how she was doing and decided to try and find her. I was devastated to find her obit, literally feel like a part of me was torn off. That is how much she meant to me and how much of an impact she had. Hope her family checks in here still, even though it has been some time now. I'll add some photos later so others can enjoy memories.

I got to meet Dita when I was younger and Candice and I were dating at the time. I spent time around Dita and Justin and got to know them both a little bit. Dita was strong willed and her sisters definitely inherited that from Dita and their mom. Justin and her would talk about having a huge family and knowing they have 4 children I pray God watches over them all. She was also funny and was like another mom to Candice and her other sisters! Gone too soon!!!!! Prayers to everyone!

I have so many memories of us being teenagers in that house but one of my favorites is I remember seeing Dita one of the first times and being floored by how beautiful she looked. As we swam in the pool I remember telling her this and saying "Oh man, and your real name is Aphrodite?!" She quickly responded with a smile "yeah girl I'm the real deal". Still makes me laugh and smile to this day. I'm so sorry for your loss, Vanessa; for you and your family. But she will always be with you in spirit and memories ♥️.
