Ann Logan Elias

My condolences to the Elias family. Ann was truly the matron of the HIT Lab, and a second mother to me and so many other graduate students and research assistants orphaned by distance from our own families. In retrospect, it seems to me that as much Ann supported the mission of the HIT Lab, she likely didn't truly care about virtual reality or interfaces. It wasn't her passion or motivation. We could have been studying climate change or innovating calculations for actuarial tables. What she cared about was our success, collectively and as individuals. Everything she did for the organization, and for each of us, was borne out of love and kindness and wanting for us everything that we wanted for ourselves. Thank you, Ann, and rest in peace.
