Anita Kilback

With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother, devoted grandmother, sister, aunt, and best friend. Anita is survived by her four daughters, Lisa (Greg), Shannon (Dave), Kendra (Merv) and Kara (Mitch), and her 9 grandchildren, Hunter, Dakota, Harrison, Max, Rylan, Kaiya, Blake, Adalyn and Jett.Born in Vancouver to Harley and Iona Short, she was the eldest of 6. She is survived by her four sisters, Kathy, Linda (Keith), Susan(Jim) and Ethel (Mike) and her brother, Dennis (Regeane).She spent thousands of hours volunteering teaching the bible in her community. She learned the basics of Tagalog in her seventies and also touched that community with her passion for spiritual discussions. She was well remembered as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in both communities.She cherished her family, especially her precious grandbabies. She loved curling, music, and gardening. She spent her summers on Texada island (where she grew up) on the beach in the sun. She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. Our Mom will be dearly missed.We’ll love you always.
