Amelia Shelby Sierra Lopez passed away peacefully in her parents arms December 30th, 2021, surrounded by her parents love, and her hospital family. Amelia was born 8/01/2021 to parents Luis David Sierra Field and Maria Lopez. Amelia was a very active and happy baby. She loved playing with her toys and enjoying her time with her parents. Despite Amelia's challenges she always kept a smile on her face and aced every challenge that crossed her path. Amelia was a very strong little girl. Amelia had been battling cancer since birth and she was a fighter until the end. Though her time with her family was short, she touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around her. Amelia passed away due to being born with Rhabdonyosarcoma. Amelia was cremated January 21st and brought back home January 25th. Friends and family will be notified about more information on her celebration of life. Amelia nació el 01/08/2021 de padres Luis David Sierra Field y María López. Amelia era una bebé muy activa y feliz. Le encantaba jugar con sus juguetes y disfrutar su tiempo con sus padres. A pesar de los desafíos de Amelia, siempre mantuvo una sonrisa en su rostro y superó todos los desafíos que se cruzaron en su camino. Amelia era una niña muy fuerte. Amelia había estado luchando contra el cáncer desde que nació y fue una luchadora hasta el final. Aunque el tiempo que pasó con su familia fue breve, tocó muchas vidas y fue amada profundamente por quienes la rodeaban. Amelia falleció por haber nacido con Rabdonyosarcoma. In her short life, Amelia was blessed to have the love of two amazing parents, Luis and Maria. In my photography session with the family, I could feel the love that they had for Amelia. And I could feel the love that Amelia had for her parents, which they'll forever carry in their hearts.

I have been blessed with amazing memories of families in my career. Amelia and her parents are such a family. I will treasure the memory of Amelia always lighting up every time her Father Luis came in the room, the way she would perk up and look around when she heard her mother's voice. Maria inspired me every day with her strength, compassion and love she demonstrated towards her daughter and husband. I was humbled by the deep and palpable love her father demonstrated each day. Amelia had a smile and laugh that was contagious. Everyday I came to see her I was reminded of the joy's that have been placed in our lives. I will cherish the fact that I was able to be a part of this families journey. I think of Amelia often and pray for her peace and love to be with her parents always.

I always enjoyed walking into Amelia's room and seeing her smile. It was the most beautiful smile and she loved to have visitors. Amelia also has the sweetest parents, whose love was so apparent and strong. Thinking of all of you often.

Amelia stole my heart from the moment I met her! The highlight of my day was visiting her and her sweet parents. Watching her grow and develop brought me such joy. Her beautiful smile and cuddles with her little elf are memories I will treasure forever. Amelia was blessed with the most amazing parents! Luis and Maria loved her so purely, and were so thoughtful with every decision they made about her care. The depth of their maturity was a constant source of amazement to me and other staff.
