Alvin Lee Freeman was born May 21, 1948, in Tallulah, Louisiana to Wilson Bowie and Dorothy Freeman. Raised by her grandmother she moved to Sacramento, California as a young child. Although she loved her name, given to her by her late uncle, she decided it wasn’t a name for a woman and she changed her name to Christine.   Christine graduated from Grant High School and loved all things art. She went on to study Arts and Language at American River College. She loved being a model and drawing pictures, as well as designing and sewing her own clothes. She later obtained her AA degree in Medical Assisting but gave up the trade to be a fulltime mother. She instead ran her own cleaning business and worked as a turndown maid at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. She loved the experience and meeting new people. Christine was always a lively person who loved to have a good time rather it be at work or in the neighborhood with friends who later became family.  As a mother of seven she extended her motherly ways across a lot of people. With smart old school ways and a sassy mouth, she would tell you what you needed to hear. Everything she said was to benefit you and help you grow. She was quick to take you in, give you a place to stay, a meal to eat, or that quality time that you needed. She taught us all how to be strong, independent, and loving parents. She was a loyal friend who loved unconditionally.   Christine was preceded in death by both parents, her son Justin Johnson, and one grandchild. She leaves to cherish her memory her six children Kimberly Williams, Kevin Williams, Kennon Williams, Tashawna Williams, Musa Fury, and Jamal Johnson. She also leaves nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
