Alma Rose Beldia Fernandez
January 18th, 2022
January 18th, 2022
It is with a heavy heart that I announce here that Alma Rose Fernandez is no longer with us. I have lost the love of my life. My wife of 14 years, Alma Rose Fernandez (sometimes known as Rebecca) passed away on January 18, 2022. She was the most amazing partner and as many of our friends can attest to, we were inseparable; we did everything together. I will be lost without her. She was truly my soulmate. She was simply the best.
Alma, my beloved wife is survived by her step-son Anthony Pitch; her mother Erlinda; her sisters Mary Ann, Belinda, Maricon, Josie, and her brother Marcos. She is preceded in death by her father Vicente.
She had an amazing life story, and I often told her she should write a book about her experiences. She was born and raised in the Philippines, but traveled and worked in Singapore; Hong Kong and Seoul, among other places, before emigrating to the United States and living in Las Vegas, then Elon, North Carolina, and back to Las Vegas. She worked in many fields, including a history teacher in the Philippines. In Las Vegas, she continued to take college classes for fun at the College of Southern Nevada, getting an Associates of General Studies degree with high honors. She had lots of interests including health, nutrition, exercise, hiking, investing, and traveling. She had boundless energy and inspired me everyday. She will be sorely missed.
