These photos bring back so many great memories with Allen: the laughs, the talks, the beers, the cigars. He was a good friend and a great man, and I’m grateful for every moment we shared.

What is your favorite memory shared with Allen?

When Allen and Dave were making the ramp for our trailer, it required some metal straps. While texting back and forth he said “and of course paint it John Deere green and yellow.” (Both of them love John Deere) He did paint it those colors and every day we are reminded of his helpfulness. He will be missed.

Allen was my son’s father-in-law, and my friend. It breaks my heart to say goodbye. He had an incredible attitude, a one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and a gift for turning every comment into shared laughter. I admired his structural knowledge — we shared a deep interest in properties and construction, and I always learned something new from him. I’ll never forget that he introduced me to Fat Tire Amber Ale and the joy of a good cigar — moments we enjoyed to the fullest. Through his wonderful daughters, I could always see his values, his warmth, and the love he poured into his family. I wish I could share all the photos from the many Super Bowls, birthdays, and Father’s Days we celebrated together… and yet, even with all those memories, it still feels like we didn’t have enough time. I’m going to miss you, Allen.
