In Loving Memory of Alexandra “Alice” Gilleland

 

April 16, 1954 – February 7, 2026

 

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Alexandra Gilleland, who left us on February 7th, 2026, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.

 

Born on April 16, 1954, to Jevogrijs and Taissa Borisovs, Alexandra dedicated her life to the service of others. As a nurse, she provided comfort and healing to countless patients, but her most cherished roles were those of mother and grandmother.

 

Alexandra was defined by her formidable will and an unbreakable spirit of perseverance. To those who knew her best, she was a constant source of strength; Nothing could stand in the way of her love for her family. She loved unconditionally, giving herself fully and asking for nothing in return.

 

Her legacy lives on through her devoted son, Gregory Gilleland, and his wife, Allison Gilleland. And she was the proudest grandmother to Katerina, Jaxon, and Scarlett, who were the absolute lights of her life.

 

She is also survived by her sisters - Vera Borisovs and Vivian Noblett - and held a special place in her extended family as a beloved aunt/ godmother to Andrea Feldman;  a grand aunt to Vanna and Jessica; and a great-grand aunt to Lucas and River.

 

Alexandra taught us that love is an action—a choice to show up, to care, and to never give up on one another. While our hearts are broken, we find peace knowing her pain has ended and her love remains within us all.
