November 26th, 1931 - November 23rd, 2021
Alda Xavier Rego, aged 89, passed away on November 23 , 2021 in Mississauga, Ontario. She was born on November 26th 1931 in Ribeira Quente, Portugal. She married the love of her life Antonio Lima Rego. Together they had a large family consisting of 8 Children (Tony, Mary, Marlena, Alda, Gerry, Sam, Sandy and Tracy). She was also blessed with 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and even two great great grandchildren.
Alda was a strong inspiring woman – holding fast to her beliefs, defending those she loved, and always seeking to help her family whenever she could. Her greatest joy was her children and granchildren. She was always ready and willing to look after her grandchildren at any time. She always had so much joy holding her baby grandchildren and great granchildren. She was an amazing cook and had so much pleasure cooking for, and with her family, with endless requests for her famous "Soupa de Courve" (Kale Soup). As she moves on to her heavenly home, she will be reunited with her love Antonio Lima Rego who left us August 23 2008.
In Lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be sent to the Heart and Stroke foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Links to make a charitable donation can be found in the about section below.
