Albert "Al" John Peebles
November 3rd, 1940 - July 30th, 2021
November 3rd, 1940 - July 30th, 2021
Albert “Al” Peebles was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, Christian, musician, artist, competitive chess player, and navy veteran. He left this world suddenly on July 31st 2021 at age 80 to be with the Lord Jesus Christ and his heavenly home. We suspect his heart couldn’t take the Cleveland Browns not making it to the Super Bowl…again. Al sure did love the Cleveland Browns. Al was a 1960 graduate of Brunswick High School. He went on to join the navy and then earn an associate degree of Science. He met and married the love of his life, Andrea Dale Peebles. Al’s passion was Jesus. His other passion was writing, publishing over 30 books. Al was an extraordinary artist, guitar player, and an excellent chess player. He also made the best grits this side of Mississippi. Al is survived by his son, Joel Peebles and his wife, Tammy, their children, Kayla, Alyssa, Josiah, and Micah; his daughter Christine Kleps and her husband, Alex and their children, Faith and Matthew; and his daughter Sarah Atkins and her husband Craig, and their daughter Aria. He is also survived by one lovable cat, one brother, Gary, and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister and brother. While he will be missed by many, we are thankful that he is again in the arms of his beloved wife, who died in 2010. Al’s battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Albert will be greatly missed for his unique sense of humor, his imagination and his amazing storytelling talent about Bigfoot and UFOs. Nothing made him happier than entertaining others. We will deeply miss him in so many ways.
