I'm forever grateful that our paths crossed and our lives intertwined. I believe that we were made for each other. It's unfair that we didn't get more time, but I will cherish all of our memories. I love you, and I miss you always. Love, Your wife, Doreen

Adam would always help me and my sisters find reliable vehicles and fix them whenever they needed maintenance. He loved to show us funny TikTok videos. We would share funny memes and videos on messenger. Adam loved Western movies and country music. He took my advice on what TV shows he should be watching then we could talk about them and get Mom into watching them. He had an infectious laugh, that I'll always remember. He always wanted the best for me. ❤️

I knew that this year would be our last Father’s Day together, so I decided to write Adam a letter. The opportunity to say goodbye is something I will always be grateful for. Here is what I read to him that day. Dear Adam, I was 5 years old when you came into my life. I don’t really remember a time before you and for that, I am grateful. Some of my earliest memories were you bribing me with candy. Which, ironically, is exactly what you do with my kids now. 😂 I love the relationship you have built with them. They are so lucky to have a grandpa like you. I know you’re not big on sentimental stuff and I’m sure you’ll sit there and cringe while I read this and cry, but there are a few things I just want to say. I want you to know that you truly gave me a childhood that I wouldn’t have otherwise had. You cared for me and taught me so much about life. You took me to do things and created memories I get to keep for the rest of my life. When I was very young, you brought me fishing for the first time. I was able to pick it up quickly, but you still always had to put the worm on the hook for me. I don’t think I ever got used to doing it on my own. In the summer, I remember we’d go up to the lake and you’d take us on the speed boat or the pontoon. Sometimes you’d even let me think I was the one driving. I remember you used to wake me up for school every morning and cook me a hot breakfast. Usually an egg sandwich or coco wheats. And then we would watch xena warrior princess until it was time to go. Sometimes we would watch music videos and you used to think Roses by OutKast was so funny. As I grew, you and mom taught me how to be a good person and I am so grateful for that. You taught me responsibility and accountability and you didn’t let me get away with half-assing anything. As an adult, you still have always taken care of me. Most commonly, you’ve been my own personal mechanic and came to my rescue anytime I’ve had car problems. But more than that, you always make sure I’m good. And that I don’t need anything. You even let me keep the key to the front door so I know that I can always come home. But you helped raise me into a self sufficient, successful woman, so now I rarely need anything thanks to you. I mean, I can’t give you all the credit even though I’m sure you’d be happy to take it. 😂 I had no idea that I’d only be getting 27 years to spend with you. It’s feels so unfair that we don’t get more time. I want you to know that I will never forget how proud I felt the first time you ever introduced me as your daughter. Thank you for being the best dad, even when you didn’t have to be. I love you. ♥️
