I met Mr. and Mrs. McMakin at FedEx in Eagle on Mr. Makin’s 90th birthday. Turned into my favorite customers. They were amazing people and I’m so sad to hear of their passing.

I had the wonderful opportunity to care for Mac at his home through Visiting Angels. I absolutely loved hearing his stories and spending time with him and Martha. I think of them often.

McMakins lived near my family most of my life. Their place was my second home, and Mr McMakin was more of a father to me than my own. He took the time to take me flying, let me help him when he was building a plane, showed me so many things and told me so many stories from his flying. All the countries he visited and wonderful things he did and saw. The McMakins home was always a fun, and interesting place to be. I have so many good memories and stories from those times. It was a blessing to have known them, and the entire family.

Mac and Martha were our neighbors in Mill Valley and I cherish those
few years of their friendship and helpfulness when we first moved into our home next door to them! They made us feel so very welcome!

God Bless, Mac. He was a wonderful person who had an open heart for all. He and Martha were a very Dear Couple. They were friends of mine for many years. I met through my mom, Janet, who was a childhood friend of Martha's. And they always kept in touch with me.
