Rotceh Del Razo passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving husband, parents and brothers after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 35 years old.

Rotceh was born on November 24, 1985 to Hector and Blanca Del Razo and was a role model to her younger siblings, Hector and Eduardo. She was raised in Mexico City and moved to San Diego at the age of 11. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2011 with a degree in International Business Marketing, which reflected her combined interests in travel, design, and entrepreneurship. At the age of 25, she moved to Chile and launched an international import business. She moved to Singapore to pursue work, before joining a Bay Area-based tech company in 2014. Rotceh and James Davies met in San Francisco in 2015 and were married in 2019 in Merida, the Yucatan: a place they both loved and explored together. At work, Rotceh’s skills and ambition were rewarded by supportive mentors who recognized her natural leadership skills, creative spirit and innate understanding of how to connect diverse groups of people. In turn, many of those whom she managed and/or mentored became some of her closest friends.

Rox, as she was affectionately known by many friends, was a generous and creative soul. She lived with passion and loved to dance, to travel and she cherished her time with family and loved ones. Rotceh relished opportunities to see the world, wanting to soak up the world’s beauty with her own eyes. Over the years she created countless memories with her friends and family, taking siblings-only trips with her younger brothers and kite-surfing trips with her husband. She was never a passenger in life. She plotted her own course, driven by her curiosity and her fearlessness. We remember with great fondness the tranquility and sincerity of her spirit which was felt by all those whose lives she touched.

Rotceh fought and survived cancer at a younger age; then, as now, she never gave up. Her enduring strength and composure inspired all who knew her. Through these difficult periods, Rotceh and James were by each other’s side; her loving parents and brothers were behind her. Our shared memories are the best tribute to Rotceh’s life. May she continue to make the world a better place by reminding us of how she lived. Please share memories on Rotceh’s page.

I only met Rox a couple of times. What stood out to me most was how happy she was, how loving she was to Taman, and how well they complimented each other. Such a sweet soul and pleasant energy. I wish I could've gotten to know her even better - RIP dear Rox. My heart goes out to the family and friends during these tough times. Love always.

Rox is a story of beauty, kindness, caring and unbelieveble courage. Her passing leaves a hole in the world. We owe it to her to follow her example as best we can. It's naive to think the world can be mended with kindness, but, one day at time, one act at a time can light a small light in the darkness. Thank yoi , Rox

I knew from the moment I met Rox what a fiery and driven spirit she had. From starting her own import business to her amazing travels and adventures to opening up an Airbnb in Mexico to working alongside her on our then tiny Marketing team. It was easy to see what a genuine and kind soul she was. She had an indefatigable spirit and a dry sense of humor I always appreciated. She will be missed by many. The world was better with Rox in it.

Rox was a constant reminder that life is beautiful and that are problems are just tiny specks of dust in an very, very big happy picture. I used to chat a lot with Rox about life. Careers, relationships, friendship, etc. I remember one day in particular. I was having a very crappy day (mind you, all small problems) so I went to get more coffee and I met with Rox. She was back from her amazing honeymoon and she was glowing. She asked what was going on, and after telling her, she said "wow, you get very angry over little stuff" and started laughing. I couldn't do much more than blush and join her in her laughs. "Dont worry too much about it, life is too pretty to let ugly things bug you" I'll never forget you, Rox
