Ronald Joe Fought

Ronald Joe Fought, 79, of Washington, WV, passed away April 26, 2022 at his residence under the loving care of his wife, family and Amedisys Hospice. He was born on February 19, 1943 in Parkersburg, WV and was the son of the late Donald and Mary Fought. Ron was a member of the Vienna Masonic Lodge and the American Legion Post #15. He served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Ron retired from GE after thirty-three years of service. Ron is survived by his wife of thirty three years Rosemarie Fought, five children Mary Fought, Donald Fought (Lisa), Debra Erb (Dave), Cindy Fought (David), Julie Fought, three step children Bettina Butler, John Burns (Teresa), Warren Burns, two sisters Brenda Huffman (Tom), Linda Matteo (Dan), six grandchildren and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Besse and Thurman Fought. A graveside service will be held 2 PM Tuesday at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens with full military rites by American Legion Post #15. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and the nurses who cared for Ron during a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
