To Sil and family. Please accept my deepest and sincere condolences to you. Marva and I started at LOJ many years ago at the Trafagar branch. We had a great time over the years. She was a strong and godly woman then and over the years. She was always the life of the party!! May her soul RIP.

On behalf of block M residents, I take this opportunity to send condolences to the Kerr family. As the block representative I could rest a sure that Marva would be a party of any plans for our block once it meant a better place for us to live. I had a relationship with her that it didn't matter the time she heard a sound & or had no reason to be concerned she could call me to view our immediate surrounding to make sure it appear safe, and trust me she did. She was a tower of strength for me when plans were to be made and to be executed for our block I could be assured to receive her input whether in cash or kind she would be one of the first to be available. When the time for our block meetings came, if she wouldn't be able to attend she would say..... "girl you know I am on board" and believe me as soon as she had some time she would have called me to find out what was discussed. She was very caring and wanted Garveymeade to remain amongst the best community. She has left her footprints for us to try and make the world a better place to live. R.I.P

To the Kerr family Words cannot begin to describe the pain that you're going through. Do know that she is no longer in pain. She is no longer suffering. She has become one with the source of pure love, compassion and peace. Find solace in the fact that she has lead a beautiful life and that you were all an important part of her time on this earth. She is and will always continue to be with you.

Mr. Silburn Kerr & Family. Dear Mr. Kerr, We would like to express our sincere condolences on the passing of your dear wife, Marva. The thoughts and prayers of the members of my family are with you and your children at this difficult time. My fondest recollection of Mrs. Kerr is that she was a remarkable, urbane, and Christian Lady who made a huge difference in the lives of many people. As we join you in mourning her loss we are truly thankful and happy that she was here and was able to congratulate and celebrate with your elder son on the occasion of his graduation from medical school. I know she was your best friend, and it must be really hard for you right now. Death is especially painful when you lose someone so close. Please accept our best wishes for courage, strength, and love as you cope with this loss. With blessings and prayers, Donald Smalling & Family.

I have fond memories of Marva from our days at LOJ in the eighties. Always a caring, compassionate soul. A God fearing woman who always sought to help others. Rest In Peace.
