Asher James Lee Wilson's Memorial

We invite you to join us for a memorial and natural burial for Asher on Friday from 10:00AM-1:00 PM, at Larkspur Conservation, (155 Bear Carr Rd, Westmoreland, TN 37186). The ceremony will take place in a meadow, which is a .3 mile walk up a natural trail. The path may be muddy, so please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor conditions.There will be an ATV available to assist children, the elderly, or anyone who needs a lift up to the meadow. We have reserved the space from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, allowing time for arrival and departure.Please note that there are no standard bathroom facilities, though a compost toilet is available for emergencies. We encourage making a pitstop beforehand if needed.Since this is a nature conservation area, only loose flowers are allowed. In lieu of sending the family bouquets or floral arrangements, donations to the reserve or No Kids Hungry TN are welcome and appreciated.Thank you for joining us to honor Asher in this serene, natural setting.

What To Expect At The Natural Burial:

• Dress for an outdoor hike and wear appropriate shoes.
• Use the restroom before you arrive, there is no public toilet or running water.
• Carpool if possible - parking is limited.
• Plan to arrive at 9:45am.
• Everyone will be welcomed at the trailhead by Larkspur staff.
• Everyone will hike up the hill into the nature preserve for the burial ceremony (we have a UTV for folks with mobility challenges).
• Everyone will be invited to participate at their level of comfort.
• Whatever ceremony or sharing of words or music will occur.
• When ready we will lower the casket Into the grave
• Everyone will have a chance to place and handful or shovelful of soil into the grave until it is closed and covered with flowers.
• Plan about 3 hours for ceremony and burial.
